"Nylon Guys + Gallery Update"

Those waiting for My Chemical Romance’s latest album will soon be satisfied – but in the meantime, we’ve got an interview with the band’s frontman, Gerard Way, about his latest musical adventure.

Pick up an issue of NYLON Guys on stands now, and check out this preview of the story:

Gerard, on writing the new album: “Once you unlock something lyrically and aesthetically, then a flood starts to happen. Sometimes it takes a while to get that flood to happen.”

On Mexico’s “Emo Murders:” “Mexico was the worst case. It became an epidemic. I felt heartbroken. While I codemn the hate crimes, why would I tell someone to stop being who they are? That would be irresponsible.”

On their childhood garage, where the band started: “Fuck it was dark there. We had just slivers of sunlight, we were like mole people, me and Mikey. The neighborhood was kind of dangerous – you get a taste for using your imagination so you don’t have to go outside.”
